NPTEL Courses Now Available in Local Languages

In an initiative to widen the reach and accessibility of NPTEL courses, courses are being made available in 11 regional languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.

NPTEL, India’s largest online education platform, has started translating popular courses into local languages. Along with regional language subtitles, the courses are dubbed in regional languages to make the classes more accessible.

To access translated content, learners can open the course page and look for subtitles and audio options in a video. Watch the tutorial below to find the local language and subtitles.
